Privacy Policy
Deals4Capital operates an invite-only private capital network for investment banks, advisors, funds, and family offices. This policy explains what information we collect, how it is shared within the network, and how we protect it.
1. Information We Collect
- Access requests: When a prospective firm requests access, we collect the applicant's full name, work email, firm or fund name, website, intended role (Buyer or Publisher), optional message, and reference documents.
- Account and membership data: For invited members, we store work email, display name, firm name, seat role (Firm Owner or Member), team invitation status, and authentication credentials managed through our authentication provider.
- Firm profiles and credentials: Firms provide institutional details including description, location, founded year, team size, advisory focus, investor type, investment thesis, target sectors, geographies, historical transactions, and optional credentials presentations (PDF).
- Mandates and blind teasers: Publishing firms submit blind mandate summaries, financial metrics (revenue band, historical revenue figures used to compute year-over-year growth, EBITDA margin, profitability status), firm contact selection, and blind teaser PDFs. Publishers must confirm that no personal information is included in any mandate or teaser PDF.
- Platform activity: We record teaser access requests, publisher approvals, declines or revocations, and in-app notifications.
2. How We Use Information
- To review institutional eligibility and administer firm licenses and seats.
- To display blind mandate cards and firm profiles to authenticated members of the network.
- To grant access to blind teaser PDFs and mandate contact details exclusively to counterparties that the publishing firm has approved.
- To apply a visible watermark identifying the opening firm whenever an approved mandate teaser PDF is viewed, deterring unauthorized distribution.
- To send transactional emails, including email verification codes, team invitations, and notifications when a teaser request is submitted, approved, declined, or revoked.
3. How Information Is Shared
Deals4Capital does not sell personal or institutional data and does not index private mandates, member directories, or documents on public search engines.
- Within the network: Authenticated members can view active blind mandate summaries. When a member requests access to a teaser, the publishing firm can review the requester's firm profile, name, and work email. Blind teaser PDFs and direct contact details are disclosed only after the publisher approves the request.
- Service providers: We rely on infrastructure providers strictly to operate the platform: Neon (PostgreSQL database with row-level security and authentication), Cloudflare R2 (private object storage), Resend (transactional email delivery), and Vercel (application hosting).
- Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by applicable law, regulation, or valid legal process.
4. Data Security and Retention
Database queries in the signed-in platform are enforced by PostgreSQL Row-Level Security (RLS) scoped to the authenticated user and firm. Documents and blind teasers are stored in private cloud storage, streamed exclusively to the in-app viewer without public URLs, and watermarked with the viewing firm's name upon opening.
We retain account, profile, and mandate records for as long as a firm maintains an active or historical seat on the network, or as needed to comply with legal and audit obligations. Publishers may withdraw mandates or update their firm profile at any time.
5. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Firm Owners can update firm profile information and team seats directly from the platform.
